Hawzah News Agency- Hazm al-Assad, a member of Ansar Allah’s political bureau, issued the statement during a press briefing, where he denounced what he described as “silent complicity” and even “active collaboration” by some governments in the region with the Israeli regime.
Expansion of Military Operations in Support of Gaza
Al-Assad announced that Ansar Allah is entering the fourth phase of its military campaign aimed at pressuring Israel to end its siege on Gaza. He warned that shipping companies and vessels affiliated with or doing business with Israel—as well as with certain Arab nations—will be considered legitimate targets.
“Our next stage of operations will target all shipping companies under contract with the Zionist regime and their regional allies,” al-Assad stated. “This campaign will continue until the oppressive and criminal siege on Gaza is completely lifted. Any party that aids or remains silent in the face of this starvation and genocide is complicit in Israeli crimes.”
Criticism of Arab-Israeli Normalization Amid War Crimes
The Ansar Allah official went on to condemn the growing normalization and trade relations between some Arab and Islamic countries and Israel, especially amid the ongoing Israeli military campaign in Gaza, which has resulted in mass civilian casualties and a deepening humanitarian catastrophe.
“It is a shame and a stain on history that certain Arab and Islamic states are choosing to strengthen their ties with the Zionist regime at this critical moment. Increasing trade and political engagement while Gaza suffers is nothing short of betrayal,” he said.
Previous Attacks on Vessels Linked to Israel
Ansar Allah has previously claimed responsibility for attacks on commercial vessels in the Red Sea that it accused of aiding the Israeli regime. According to the group, one recently targeted ship had repeatedly transported cargo for Israel from Egyptian and Turkish ports, despite multiple prior warnings.
“We reiterate our warning to all nations and shipping companies: refrain from cooperating with this genocidal regime if you value your safety and the safety of your assets,” the statement added.
